No Boundaries Art Colony is an experiment in cross-cultural and cross-creative exchange. For two weeks out of every year, participating artists are provided with the time, place, and means to create, uninhibited and alongside fellow artists. The concept seems simple, but what happens during the two weeks is a case study in how art, music, education, food, and new friendships can fuse to impact the lives of those participants as well as the many students, volunteers, and community members who have the opportunity to interact with this exchange.
In addition to creating art, participants give back to the community through lectures at local schools and non-profits. They have the opportunity to work with youth to create inspiring murals, allowing local children to experience the possibilities that art can afford them and their lives. At the conclusion of each colony, all work is exhibited in a gallery setting, exposing local residents and collectors to new artists and their creations.
